Cheeky Jumbo A Plate

Hello Nail Surfers

Welcome to My Beach

I have to Mani's to share with you today. The first Mani my daughter wanted me to use lots of gems on my accent finger. I wanted this airplane. I don't know why but I really thought the airplane just went better with the design pattern. I used Cheeky's Jumbo A plate. Which you can purchase Here Or Cheeky's Store Here.
Cheeky is still working on their official store webpage.

SURFS UP....
High Tide Warning!!!

Monday Night Football Nails!

Hello Nail Surfers

Welcome to My Beach

Today I am showing my Monday Night Football Nails.

Green bay Packers VS Seattle Seahawks

I had this great idea to add the teams logo's but I don't have a seahawk head ,So I used a large football from Cheeky's Mega Plate. Found Here.  I do wish these Mega plates where all numbered.

I did do a poll on my group pages in-regards to the single image sizes. They are smaller than the sample/test set. Cheeky made them smaller for those with smaller nails and they are actually the same size as the single images on their other set (2012).  Most of the results are for bigger single images, but its a close race because another suggestion was brought up. Both sizes on 1 plate. The plate is big enough to handle this and it gives more possibilities with these images. Something for Cheeky to think about for any future sets.

Cheeky does listen to idea's,suggestions etc. So don't be shy, tell them your thoughts. They take everything into consideration. They want the ultimate nail plates/beauty products  just as much as we do. So why not put our 2 cents in.

SURFS UP......

I used CH 5,CH 4,CH 35 and Mega plate
for the football.
All the plates I used can be found Here OR
I take alot of pictures I'm sorry.
But how cool is it to use those all wall paper art.

Please leave your feedback on the image sizes.
I will be making my final report to Cheeky soon.
Together we can have the Ultimate set for all of us.
Short nails,long nails,wide nails etc. :)

Thank You for surfing my wave.
I hope you enjoyed your day at My Beach.

"Bling Bling"

Hello Nail Surfers

Welcome to My Beach

Today I tried Mash's Bling Nail Art Stickers. 16 come to a pack and they are very blingy.
Now I have long nails, but not super long nails. These stickers just cleared my middle finger in length.
I also have wide nail beds too and I have yet to find the perfect nail sticker for my nails. All 10 of my nails that is. Now I do enjoy using these as accents fingers and they surely add the bling to my Mani.
Here's my NOTD.

SURFS UP...
High Tide Warning!!!

You can purchas these Bling stickers  Here
Mash Plates do stamp extremely well and I havn't had any stamping issues.
They do have a protective backing to prevent sharp edges.
To order your Mash Plates go Here
You get 25 plates for $15.99
These Bling Nail Stickers do stick extremely well.
I did use a base coat to protect my natural nails.

Have you tried any Nail stickers?
Would you use them on all 10 nails or as accent fingers?

Thank You for Sufing my wave.
I hope you enjoyed My Beach.

Fire Pit

Hello Nail Surfers

Welcome to My Beach

Today I have a Mani to share with you  that I used my printer with.
The printer does come pre-loaded with images and this was 1 of thousands I could choose from.
I still need to update the system with new photos that the company continues to update with new images.
The machine does not have built in Wi-Fi so I need an extra adapter.
I see a great improvement already from the last time I used it. The customer service on this is OMG Awesome. I talk directly to the owner. He will even help me understand the extra photo programs that came with my machine. I need to call him again this week and discuss some questions I have.To me I feel the images should be alot more crisp than what I am getting. I feel that maybe my fingers are to close to the ink cartridge or maybe I'm using to much IRC. As you may remember last time I wasn't sure if i was keeping this or not. Well there is a no return policy, since this is a salon quality machine and they mainly deal with bushiness VS the public. I could probably sell it back to them but I'm just gonna keep it. :)
Its like any new electronic you get, your lost at first but you learn all the tricks in no time.

My cold is still here unfortunately. I am hoping to get back to stamping soon :)

"Fire Pit"

Super Zoomed

Using my printer give me fast instant art.
I really should my machine more plan I do already.
Oh and this unit uses  regular printer ink. :)

Thank You for surfing my wave today.
I hope you enjoyed My Beach.

Kleenex

Hello Nail Surfs

Welcome to My Beach

I really want My Beach to stay on the wave and just chat, post, etc. about nails here.
But I feel I need to share my lack on posting. I have been sick with a nasty sinus cold. I am approaching 2 wks now.  And its really difficult to have my head down to paint anything. I have tried 2x now for a Mani and the Kleenex had different art in mind that I wanted to use.

But I have been working on my Cheeky Summer Set review.. I want to have a complete full review.

For those that are wondering here  are some quick details about this set.

~Summer Set has a pink backing so be-careful when ordering.
~When purchasing  make sure you read fully if that set includes the box and scrapper. Not all sets come this way.
~ The plates are bigger than previous set.
~The images are slightly different than the sample set that was previewed.
(Cheeky will be updating their pictures of the set)
~ Yes the single images are smaller than the sample set, But they are very close to size of the 2012 set.
~The full nail images are bigger than the previous set.
~Shipping does take awhile but, Cheeky is working on a way to ship faster.
~This is a Company that will listen to your feedback. So speak up.They take everything into consideration.

I have some swatches I did in comparison of the 2 sets. The photo's came out terrible tho. I need to retake the pictures.

Speaking of photos.. I am about to trash my light box. I still get glares. And the cardboard corners show up when i try to take pictures of plates. So all my plates pictures where taken outside.  Any inside details of why my box is giving me such issues? I am up for any suggestions.

Burning Love

Hello Nail Surfers

Welcome to My Beach

Did you ever do a Mani with art one day than the next decide to change it but kept the base?
I was looking at my nails saying to myself I wonder how flames would look on top of this gradient.
So I quickly grabbed the remover and worked fast to just erase my previous art. It worked good since I had a good layer over of  top coat over my base.

SURFS UP......

I used Mash 48

The center photo I used matte top coat.
It really shows color detail with the matte.
The Glossy top coat also showed detail but did not photograph that way.

Mash Plates can be purchased here

Do you use matte top coats?
What kind do you use?

I feel that a matte top coat actually prevents more wear than a glossy.
When I want a certain Mani to stay on for a few days I will matte them than gloss them again.
If you matte right over your stamped art you can have possible smearing. So best to gloss than matte.

Thank You for surfing my wave.
i hope you enjoyed My Beach today :)

Casino Nails

Hello Nail Surfs

Welcome to My Beach

Today I have a post that I did last minute yesterday before I headed to the casino.
What I really enjoy playing the most is the roulette table. Now last night til the A.M. hours the tables where crowed. Now  I would prefer to sit and play but that doesn't always happens. So I had to squeeze in and slap my chips down. It was a blast. The table was Hot and people were hitting big. I had compliments on my nails but I  was more into gambling than nails so I would just say Thank You. Normally I go into detail and explain to people how they to can have nail art like this too.

SURFS UP.......

I used Fun 1 Plate
& CH 28 & CH39
Now I still only have Cheeky's sample set plates.
My new ones have not arrived yet.

Do you like going to the casino's?
What games do you like playing?

You purchase these plates from here

Quick Try

Aloha Nail Surfers

Welcome to My Beach

Well I had to try it. I stamped over my Free~hand Mani from earlier. Its not bad but it's not OMG great either... Definitely something  worth combing. But , FYI the acrylic paints take a little more to remove. My polish came off no problem  as the art stayed still..So a little extra effort for removing but nothing like glitter.

SURFS UP....

I stamped with Wet`NWild Blk Creame
and used Cheeky Jumbo B

Thank You for surfing my Little wave tonight.
Hope you enjoyed My Beach today

I am attempting to do my nails tonight but I am battling a cold that just started. :(
I must suck it up and get it done because tomorrow I will feel worse.

Free~Hand Art work

Hello Nail Surfers

Welcome to My Beach

I have 2 Mani's to share with you today.
I worked on some free~hand art. Nothing fancy tho. It's been a long time since I've done free~hand work.
This was the only kind of art I started with. I do miss it and want to get back into the swing of things.
I mainly use acrylic paints for my art. Its easier for me and I like that after a top coat its all smoothed out like polish. Plus with acrylic paints are more forgiving if you mess up or just want to start fresh. Washes away with soap and water or you can use rubbing alcohol for those stubborn spots.
Acrylic paints will last as long as you add a top coat. And the art stays on and things seem to last longer with these paints.

SURFS UP....

"Ocean's Wave"
I painted my nails with a metallic blue by Elf.
which took 6 minutes in the UV Light to cure fully
I did use a heavy coat of polish. Cheeky's Brush,
White acrylic paint, chunky glitter polish for the top arch &
Art Deco Glitter striper polish for the lines

I don't have a name for these yet, but Pink is my Fav color
Acrylic paints and Cheeky's brush set are the tools I used.

Have you done any free~hand work lately?
I am really thinking now of mixing both arts together on One Mani.
Not sure how well things will come out,but the wheels are spinning..

To purchase the tools I used click Here or Here

Thank You for surfing my wave today and I hope you enjoyed your day today
at My Beach. :)

Hello UV LIGHT!

Hello Nail Surfers

Welcome to My Beach :)

Are you ready to hear all about this product I put through a tough test?

Awhile back I read that UV light curing lamps cures regular nail polish too. I priced them out at Sally's and the lamps that had high watts and bigger units with more setting options ran $65.00 and up. I really wanted one but I just couldn't see wasting money for that when I could get so many new polishes or art supplies instead. So I passed on it and never looked back.Till  just recently I noticed Mash Nails offers a unit that claims to cure regular nail polish. As most of you know I change my polish alot and drying time is always a hold up. So I just had to try this out. And Oh WOW! What a major difference.
1. It was way more affordable. $34.99 VS $65 plus at Sally's
2. 36 Watts of power.
3.It does hands or feet.
4. 120 second timer or constantly on settings
5. Cures Regular Nail Polish!
6. Easy to set up and use.

SURFS UP....

WARNING!! HIGH TIDE!!!

Unit and all 4 bulbs are packed to protect!
This Unit can be purchased Here
Even feet fit in here :)
Here I wanted to really test the unit and use 5 different but common nail polishes.
You can see here that there is plenty of room
With a mirror bottom and back wall you can see my whole hand fits with room to spare.
And the most Important test. Does it really dry regular polish?
YES!!!!
Starting from the thumb
CG =1x in lamp till completely dry
Pure Ice =2X
Sinful 3X
Wet`N`Wild 2X
Sally Hansen Extreme Wear 2X
Every polish is formulated differently and drying time may differ.
It is heat so you should give it time to cool before its 100% cured.(30 seconds atleast)
Above proves that after I used the UV light I was able to stamp without
messing my base coat up and in 6 minutes or less (depending on your polish brand)
I was able to art my nails.
So say good-bye to dings, dents, bed sheet marks, smooched images and
Hello UV Light!
It just looks so cool. But do be careful and Do Not
look directly at the light.
There is 2 bulbs on the top and 1 on each side giving you even curing time.
The top of the unit gets a little warm to the touch but not hot enough to burn you.
The sides and bottom stayed cool to the touch.

This is definitely a keeper!
I can honestly say that I would recommend this unit.
It's affordable, functional and user friendly. With it curing regular nail polish fast  it makes nail art alot faster and easier.A must have for us nail stampers especially. But for those who don't stamp we can still say good bye to al -dente nails also a stampers nightmare.

UV light and stamping polish can all be found Here

Have you ever thought about buying  one of these but just wasn't sure?

Thank You for coming to My Beach
I hope you enjoyed my post.
I am still new to all of this blogging so I am sorry if I missed anything out.
