Two Studs

Hello Nail Surfers

Welcome to My Beach

Today is a double Mani.
Both hands this time.
The Long Ladies
&
The Shorties

Both are featuring studs by Cheeky Beauty.

SURFS UP

The Long Ladies
I used Fresh Paints "Jelly Fish"
and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Wet Cement" for the accent nail.

The Sorties
I used Fresh Paints ""Jazz Hands"
and China Glaze "Kalahari Kiss" for the accent nail.

Cheeky Beauty Nail Studs
These Studs are extremely easy to apply.
Any top coat will work as a glue to adhere these down.

Did you know Cheeky has had these studs for some time now?
I'll be honest, I forgot about them. They got lost in the shuffle with
the other nail wheels. But I am so glad that I found these puppies.

Thank You for surfing my wave.
I hope you enjoyed your visit at My Beach.

Today's Number of the Day is 4 and 22.

Hello Nail Surfers

Welcome to My Beach

Today the Shorties have return.
This project has been a load of fun.
My nails are growing out more now and the different sizes are
driving me nuts.. I may just file these suckers just to tame them a tad and get them back into
shape.

SURFS UP

Sesame Street The Count.
I used MyOnline Shop's MJ 22 plate
along with her Special Stamping Polish  "Purple"
I also used Cheeky Jumbo 4
and added Fresh Paints Matte Finish.

MyOnline Shop's MJXXII (MJ22)

Cheeky Jumbo 4-Top of the Class

Do you mix and match different plate brands to create a Mani?

I Taught I Taw a Putty Cat.

Hello Nail Surfers

Welcome to My Beach

The Shorties have returned again for some more action.
Doing my Right hand has been both fun and challenging at times.
The worst part is maintaining those darn cuticles to be picture perfect.
I have also been taking advantage  of having short nails around the house
and in the yard.. Yes I said yard.. I do yard work all the time.
I do wear gloves, but that doesn't give me 100% protection from the dirt.
So I have to use a nail brush and give them a good scrubbing.
I also like to exfoliate my hands. I use salt or sugar for a quick scrub.
It make my hands extra soft and smooth..
Okay back to these Shorties.

SURFS UP

I used Funk Fingers Starling and Fresh paints Coconut as bases.
Fun1 and MJ SE along with Cheeky Jumbo7 and Cheeky's Mega Plate
The Yellow was stamped using MyOnline Shop's Yellow stamping polish.

MyOnline Shop's Special Edition Plate

Cheeky Jumbo 7

Do you mix and match all your plates together?

Thank you for surfing my wave.
I hope you enjoyed your visit here at My Beach.

Trick or Treat

Hello Nail Surfers

Welcome to My Beach

Tonight the shorties have return.
I have been playing around with acrylic paints more lately.
I came across a very cool affect I can achieve just by using saran wrap
with these paints. I don't have a Tutorial yet.. But I will soon.

SURFS UP

I used Bundle Monster  Holiday Collection Plate
BM-H07
I used Orange,Red and Black Acrylic Paints over a Light orange base.
Here's a closer look.
I finished the Mani off with a Matte Finish.

I cut my cuticle up and now it must heal.
Lots and lots of cuticle oil and creams to the rescue.

My exciting News to share is that Bundle Monster has asked
me to Review their new Fan Created Nail Stamping Collection 2013.
Of course I am all game for this honor.
I will put these plates through the same tests as I do any other set.
And yes. I will swatch the entire collection. And I will have those zoomed
in pictures of the images and also pictures of the plates in real life.
I am really excited to see this complete set.
I'm even more excited to start making new creations with these plates.

Did you submit any drawing for this collection?
Has your image or images been chosen for the collection?
I did not submit anything, but I am excited to see the final results..

Thank you for surfing my wave.
I hope you enjoyed your visit at My Beach.

Beetle Juice..Beetle Juice....Bettle Juice! Mani

Hello Nail Surfers

Welcome to My Beach

The Shorties have made another come back today.
With my nails now being much shorter than what I am use to,
I want to push the limits with these too..

SURFS UP

So first we have base coats..
I used acrylic paint and saran wrap to create this effect.
And I also made a stamping decal as well.

I used Mundo de Unas Plate Handy H2

So far having short nails on my dominate hand is a blessing.
I can do so much here at home without them getting in the way.
But I don't think I'll be chopping my other hand down any time soon.
It's much harder to photograph this hand for me.
I must have atleast 50 pics of this Mani above..
I think these fingers have a mind of their own and move every time I snap a picture.

Have you ever tried to post your dominate hand?
Try it.
I see your really enjoying the posts here.
I'll try  posting everyday to every other day.

Thank You for surfing my wave.
I hope you enjoyed your visit at My Beach.

Circle and Swirls for Shorties

Hello Nail Surfers

Welcome to My Beach

Today I am going to be sharing with you a very simple
way to achieve a hollow circle.
I stumbled upon with this a few years back.

SURFS UP

This is my Final results. I used Fun5
which can be found at Llarowe's Store
I first started off with adding large dots using paints.
Once it's almost dry you go and lightly rinse it off with water.
Don't rub tho or you will wipe your dots clear off.
Just lightly let the water hit them and the water will hollow them out.
3 Mani's in 1
I really, really liked the big chunky dots, but I wanted to do more.
Here's a better picture to show you the different lengths I have going on now.

See short nails can still play with the Big Boys..

Which Mani way do you like best?

Thank You for surfing my wave.
I hope you enjoyed your visit at My Beach.

Short Diva's can still Rock

Hello Nail Surfers

Welcome to My Beach

Today I am back with my "shorties".
I have so much fun painting and arting this little guys.
After my long nails getting a test run on this saran wrap technique
I wanted to see how well it would work for shorter nails as well..

SURFS UP

This look is so fun and easy to do.
Plus by using acrylic's it dries so much faster too.

I used MyOnline Shop MJ16
and stamped in my trusty black from Mash Nails.
The chunky Gem is also from Mash Nails.

So what do you think of these shorties?
Are you getting bored with them yet?

Me personally, I'm loving these little guys.
I'm sure going to miss them when they all grow out.

Thank You for surfing my wave.
I hope you enjoyed your visit at My Beach

The Shorties Return for Some More Action.

Hello Nail Surfers

Welcome To My Beach

I have to admit that I am having loads of fun with these shorties.
I am going to go through all of my collections of plates and
make atleast one  Mani with collection.
So far I have done Bundle Monster.
This time I tackled Cheeky XL.

SURFS UP

I am kinda wishing more and more that I kept these all one length.
But I do want to show you that any size is a good size for art.
I used one coat of Orly Sweet Peacock.
Top Left: Random light sponging with light Teal Acrylic Paint.
Top Right: I added Silver and White Acrylic Paints Randomly.
Bottom Left: Top Coated.
Bottom Right: Stamped with Cheeky XLD
This Mani does not look very appealing until you stamp it.
I am always amazed with Final Results.
I choose to Matte these so you can see all the different colors under the stamp better.

Having shorties has been a blast so far.
Taking photo's has become a greater challenge right now.
I have long fingers and some of those fingers are double jointed and
no matter what I do they never want to stay lined up for me.

Are you enjoying the Shorties as much as I am?

Thank You for surfing my wave.
I hope you enjoyed your visit at My Beach.

Art for Short Nails

Hello Nail Surfers

Welcome to My Beach

Today I have my very first many with my new Shorties..
This project is going to be fun and also a challenge.
I am right handed and these shorties are also on my right.
So all of my duties in my Mani's will be a challenge in itself.
Cuticle care is much more time consuming. I have to go slow.
Painting them is fun. I have had to make some adjustments on how
much paint to leave on the brush. I don't really have polish clean-up to do.
Art is different now. I must make sure that the images will cover my width.
Just because they are shorter doesn't mean all full nail images will work.
And I also need to make sure that whatever image or images I choose they will
fit nicely on my nail.. You know some images are just to opened and airy for
short nails. And single images will defiantly  fill up your nail quickly..

SURFS UP

I used BMH16 & BMH17
along with Cheeky's Studs.

One of my plans for this project is to use all different types of painting techniques
as well as all different brands of plates.
I can't wait to start my next Mani on this hand.

What are your thoughts on this Mani?
Is this something you would wear?

Thank You for surfing my wave.
I hope you enjoyed your visit at My Beach.
